Wash Instructions
For items such as our blue lehua, pink camo or brown camo, please wash in cold water if you want to keep the color bright. If you prefer the pink to fade slightly for a vintage look, you may wash on normal.
Do not wash every week. Space out washes to protect the fabric and print.
After drying, you may see loose liner threads inside from the embroidery. This is normal. You can gently pull/cut off any excess, as they are only placeholders for stitching.
On the outside, you may trim any extra distressing if needed.
For the first wash, if you want more vintage fading, you can dry on regular or low heat.
After you get a nice distressed look (first wash/dry), it is best to dry on low heat to maintain quality for your maintenance washes.
Camo Apparel Care
Our camo pieces are made to look bold and last — but the print does need specific care to stay vibrant. Here's what to know:
Cold Wash — Always
Wash all camo and hunting-inspired styles in cold water only. Hot or warm water breaks down the dye faster and will accelerate fading. Use a gentle or delicate cycle to reduce friction on the print.
Turn It Inside Out
Before every wash, flip the garment inside out. This protects the camo print from direct agitation in the drum and is the single most effective way to preserve color over time. Threads may become loose. You may rip off any excess thats inside (meant to come off)
No Bleach — Ever
Do not use bleach or any bleach-based detergents. Even color-safe bleach can strip the camo pattern. Stick to a mild, color-preserving detergent.
Drying
Air dry or tumble dry on low heat. High heat is the enemy of printed fabric — it causes shrinkage and color fading faster than almost anything else. Hang drying is ideal for maintaining the longest lifespan on your piece.
About Camo Color Fading
Some fading is natural over time and adds to the worn, vintage character of the garment. If you want to slow fading, follow all the steps above consistently. If you prefer a more faded, lived-in look, you can wash warm on the first wash or tumble dry on regular heat — then switch to cold wash / low heat for maintenance washes after that.
Product-Specific Notes
- Brown Camo Hoodie [PRE]: 100% cotton, heavyweight (450 gsm). Cold wash is especially important here — the cotton holds dye well when washed cold but fades noticeably faster in warm water. Interior embroidery threads are normal after washing; gently trim any excess.
- Pink Camo Hoodie: Washing cold keeps the pink vibrant. If you prefer a softer, faded pink tone, a normal-temperature wash on the first cycle works well — then maintain with cold washes going forward.
- Faux Leopard Zip: This is a faux-fur piece with a silk lining — not a printed camo fabric. Wash cold on delicate cycle. Tumble dry on low (delicates setting). Do not use bleach. Trim/comb out any loose threads before washing to prevent tangling in the fur.
